The fight against narcotics in Serdang Bedagai District is gaining momentum through collaboration between the National Narcotics Agency (BNNK) and the Sergai Police Resort (Polres Sergai), along with millennial activists.

This commitment was emphasized by the Head of BNN in Serdang Bedagai, Kompol Antonius Pangaribuan, accompanied by the Rehabilitation Coordinator of BNNK Sergai, Magdalena Hutagalung, and the Coordinator for Community Empowerment and Prevention, Lira Sihombing, following an audience with Sergai Police Chief AKBP Oxy Yudha Pratesta SIK in the Kapolres office on Friday (1/12) afternoon.

In response to the narcotics threat, Kompol Antonius Pangaribuan, leading the Integrated Assessment Team, reaffirmed a strong commitment to work collaboratively in both prevention and enforcement against narcotics circulation.

“The focus of this meeting is to enhance synergy between BNNK and Sergai Police, involving millennials as anti-drug volunteers,” he said, as confirmed by Presisi24Jam.com.

Kompol Antonius Pangaribuan conveyed that this effort aims to intensify prevention and enforcement against narcotics circulation in the Serdang Bedagai District.

“The primary strategy involves engaging millennials as anti-drug volunteers, hoping they can disseminate information and understanding about the dangers of narcotics,” he added.

During the meeting, the Integrated Assessment Team took center stage, aiming to provide an accurate overview of millennial awareness and readiness to face the narcotics threat.

“Empowering millennials in schools is a key strategy in prevention, emphasizing collaboration not only on law enforcement but also on prevention,” explained Kompol Antonius Pangaribuan.

He highlighted the importance of the dominance of the Integrated Assessment in the narcotics eradication effort, considering it as the main foundation for combating narcotics.

Furthermore, Antonius explained that the City Narcotics Threat Response Survey (KOTAN), involving BNNK and Sergai Police personnel, is expected to provide an accurate picture of awareness and readiness in facing the narcotics threat among millennials.

Sergai Police Chief AKBP Oxy Yudha Pratesta SIK, accompanied by Narcotics Crime Unit Chief AKP Juriadi, stated that effective communication and coordination between BNNK and Polres would facilitate collaboration in the field.

The Sergai Police Chief emphasized that this collaboration prioritizes prevention in drug abuse and its circulation.
